NAI Global has selected Columbia-based NAI Avant as its new market representative for Charleston. The firm will replace NAI’s previous Charleston affiliate, Batten & Moore. When it came time to select a new Charleston affiliate, NAI Avant’s prior experience in the market played a key factor.

“We have been fairly active [in Charleston] over the years “, says Todd Avant, president of the firm.

NAI Avant has maintained an extensive client base in the city for years. Recently, it was awarded the assignment to market a 495-acre land parcel on Daniel Island by the South Carolina Ports Authority, and it plans to take the land to market later this year. The company will also be expanding its physical presence in the market.

Several top brokers and executives for NAI Avant have residences in Charleston, including Avant himself. The new office will be staffed by seven to 10 employees.
